Komodo National Park seen from the air

Plan · Money

Two hundred and fifty thousand, flat

Guests pay the park entrance fee directly, which is around USD 40–50 per person for foreign visitors and USD 20–25 per person for Indonesian citizens (WNI) it's under PP No. 36/2024 the same on a Tuesday as on a public holiday. The ranger fee is shared. Everything else you read is someone adding numbers up wrong.

Ask what the boat costs

In short

Guests pay the park entrance fee directly: around USD 14 per person for foreign visitors, and around USD 3–4 per person for Indonesian citizens (WNI), weekday or weekend. A ranger fee of roughly USD 8 applies per group of one to five, on top of either rate.

  • Flat rate — weekends cost the same
  • Ranger fee is per group, not per head
  • Booked through SiOra since 1 April 2026

Komodo National Park from the air

Where the USD 50 figure comes from

You will still find pages quoting roughly around USD 40-50, or a tiered price that changes at weekends. Those are describing a proposed structure that was announced and then not implemented in the form people wrote about.

The operative regulation is PP No. 36/2024, and under it foreign entry is flat. A weekend visit costs a foreign visitor exactly what a weekday visit costs.

The Indonesian-citizen rate does split by day roughly USD 20–25 which is probably where some of the confusion started. It does not apply to foreign visitors.

SiOra

How entry is actually booked

Since 1 April 2026 you cannot simply pay at the gate.

  1. 01

    siora.id, and only there

The park’s own e-ticket system is the sole official channel. Any other site selling you a Komodo entry ticket is a reseller at best.

  2. 02

    Book a session

The 1,000-per-day cap is split across three scheduled sessions. You are booking a slot, not just a day.

  3. 03

    Usually done for you

Most operators handle the booking as part of the trip. Confirm that in writing rather than assuming it.

  4. 04

    Bring the same ID

The name on the e-ticket has to match the passport you present. Fix mismatches before you travel, not at the jetty.

The 1,000-per-day figure is a park-wide cap across all sites, not a separate quota for Manta Point.

Questions about fees

Now the part that varies

The park fee is fixed and public. The boat is not. Send Komodo Luxury your dates and group size for the number that actually moves.
